Paul Huang Receives Avery Fisher Career Grant

Pianist Michael Brown, violinists Paul Huang, Kristin Lee and Simone Porter and violist Matthew Lipman have each been awarded an Avery Fisher Career Grant, which consists of $25,000 for career needs.

Each of the five recipients – who received their awards in an event on Wednesday in The Greene Space – are early-career musicians, under the age of 30 (the event will be video webcast on this page).

The Avery Fisher Career Grants have been given out annually by the Avery Fisher Artist Program since 1976. A committee of arts administrators, musicians and conservatory deans selects the grant recipients. Watch the archived webcast:
